Education and childcare providers in East Zorra-Tavistock

Choosing childcare or education

For childcare in particular, licensing and ratios are non-negotiable -- confirm them before anything else.

• For daycare, confirm licensing status directly with the Ontario Ministry of Education's licensed child care search, not just the provider's own claim.
• Ask about staff-to-child ratios and staff qualifications (RECE certification for registered early childhood educators).
• Ask what a typical day looks like and whether you can do a trial visit before enrolling.
• For tutoring or lessons, ask about the instructor's specific experience with your child's age or skill level.
