Electricians in South-West Oxford

Choosing an electrician

Electrical work has real safety stakes -- licensing isn't optional here the way it might feel for some other trades.

• Confirm they hold a valid Electrical Contractor Licence and that the specific electrician doing the work is a licensed 309A electrician.
• Ask whether the work requires an Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) permit and inspection -- most work beyond a simple fixture swap does.
• Get a written quote covering materials and labour, and ask what happens if they find outdated wiring once the wall is open.
• Ask for proof of liability insurance before any work begins.
